Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Union Government has received any proposal from the State Government of Odisha to open new ANM Training Centres and GNM Training Centres; and
(b) if so, the details thereof, and the time by which these centres will become functional?

(a) & (b): Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Upgradation/strengthening of Nursing Services (ANM/GNM), Union Government has approved 5 ANM Training Centres and 9 GNM Training Centres in the State of Odisha. An amount of Rs. 59.024 crore has been released for establishment of these schools as per details annexed.
