THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SHRIMATI PRENEET KAUR)

(a) to (c) India-UK talks were held in New Delhi on 19 February 2013 during the official visit to India of the British Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron. The issue of movement of Indian students to UK for higher education was raised at the highest levels. The British Prime Minister has informed that there is no cap on the number of Indian students that can study in British universities so long as they have a place and an English language qualification. The Government of India takes up at all appropriate occasions, both with the EU as well as bilaterally with its individual members, the issue of facilitating the movement of Indian nationals to the EU countries for studies as well as for purposes of work.
