(a) As informed by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) is being implemented since 2009-10, for development of rainfed and degraded areas. In 2015-16, IWMP was amalgamated in the Watershed Development Component of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (WDC-PMKSY). The activities undertaken inter-alia include ridge area treatment, drainage line treatment, soil and moisture conservation, rainwater harvesting, nursery raising, afforestation, horticulture, pasture development, livelihoods for asset less persons, etc. As further informed by DoLR, the overall target for the scheme of PMKSY-WDC is 11.5 lakh hectare, against which 13.3 lakh hectare has been brought under protective irrigation from 2015-16 to December, 2020. The details of physical progress and expenditure made towards release of central funds, are as follow:

(b) & (c) Central Ground Water Board has informed that a proposal for water harvesting in select water stressed areas of Rajasthan, under the existing scheme of Ground Water Management & Regulation (GWM & R) has been forwarded to Government of Rajasthan.
