(a) whether the Railways have any proposal to complete Bidar-Bodhan and Peddapalli-Nizamabad railway lines in Telangana State;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the proposed sanction of funds for this purpose; and
(c) the time by which it is likely to be completed?

(a) to (c): Peddapalli- Nizamabad New Line (177 Km) has been sanctioned at an anticipated cost of Rs. 915 crore and an expenditure of Rs. 658 crore has been incurred upto 31.03.2014 with a an outlay of Rs. 35 crore in 2014-15. Peddapalli- Jagityal (83 Km) section of this project has been opened to traffic. Track linking in Jagityal- Morthad- Armoor (68 Km) section has been completed. Earthwork, bridges and ballast supply work in balance section has been taken up.
Huge throwforward of ongoing projects and limited overall availability of funds preclude Railways to fix timelines for ongoing projects and to take up new projects.
As regards Bidar- Bodhan New Line, Project has, however, not been sanctioned.
