Question : RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS IN MAHARASHTRA

(a) the number of residential schools opened in Maharashtra during 2004-05;

(b) whether the State Government has sought permission of the Union Government for opening of new residential schools during 2005-06; and

(c) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Union Government thereon alongwith grants released for the purpose?

(b) & (c ) During the financial year 2005-06 no new proposal for residential schools has been received from the State Government of Maharashtra alongwith their inspection report and recommendations.
