(a) & (b) No country has issued travel warning to their citizens recently asking them to avoid visiting the whole of India. Some countries, viz. Australia, Denmark, Japan, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Spain and the UK have advised their citizens to avoid/ defer/ exercise caution concerning travel to some parts of India, viz. Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and parts of North East India.
(c) Issuance/revision of travel warnings/advisories is done by different countries based on their perception of the security conditions prevailing in the specific countries/areas to be visited. These advisories are regularly reviewed / withdrawn by the countries concerned, based on their perceptions.
(d) The Government constantly interacts with the concerned Governments to convey our views / perceptions on the issue through bilateral contacts and through diplomatic channels. Indian diplomatic missions also regularly disseminate information to the decision makers and to the travelling public to project the correct picture about the conditions in India.
