(a) whether the Government of Odisha has requested the Union Government for transfer of additional levy collected from previous owners of Talabira-I coal mines estimated at over Rs. 560 crore;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether any arrangement has been made for the transfer of the amount to the State; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken/being taken by the Union Government in this regard?

(a)to (d): Government of Odisha has requested Ministry of Coal to transfer the additional levy to Government of Odisha received from M/s Hindalco Industries Limited, prior allottee of Talabira-I coal block amounting to Rs. 5,66,01,05,410.00
As per Rule 18 of the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Rules, 2014, the additional levy with respect to schedule II Coal Mines shall be deposited by the prior allottee with the Central Government.
