(a) whether the Government has any proposal to set up smart class system in all
Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) in near future,
specially in Tripura and Delhi/NCR and if so, the details thereof;
(b) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(c) the details of implementation procedure and time limit of completion for any
such proposal in near future?

(a) Smart class systems have been set up in 907 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) and 545
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in the country. Out of these, 6 KVs and 4 JNVs in
Tripura and 77 KVs &22 JNVs in Delhi / NCR are having smart class systems.
(b) Does not arise.
(c) Setting up of smart class system is a continuous process which depends upon
various factors such as opening of new schools, addition of higher classes, availability of
funds, availability of Internet connectivity etc. and as such no specific time frame can be
given in this regard.
