Question : Intensive Irrigation Development Programme

(a) the details of the proposals received by the Government from the State Government of Maharashtra for allocation of funds under Intensive Irrigation Development Programme for agriculture development scheme in the State during the last two years;

(b) the number of proposals approved out of the proposals received and the number of proposals pending so far; and

(c) the time by which the pending proposals are likely to be approved and sanctioned by the Government?

(a) to (c): In 2015-16 a proposal of Rs.150 crore under Vidarbha Intensive Irrigation Development Programme approved by the State Level Sanctioning Committee was received from Government of Maharashtra comprising of Micro Irrigation, Soil Conservation and Minor Irrigation components of Rs.50 crore each. An amount of Rs.75 crore was released to Government of Maharashtra under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana for this proposal.

In 2016-17 a proposal of Rs.638.12 crore under the same programme comprising of Micro Irrigation, Soil Conservation & Watershed Management and Minor Irrigation components, costing Rs.149.86 crore, Rs.188.26 crore and Rs.300 crore respectively was received from Government of Maharashtra. The State Government was advised to take up the activities of this programme under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana.
