Question : Listing of Farmers left out under PM-KISAN Scheme

(a) whether any concrete steps have been taken regarding the villages and eligible farmers erroneously left out in the survey by the State Government under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the eligible farmers of Lakhagarh village left out by the Government of Chhattisgarh have been enlisted and if so, the details of the number of eligible farmers to whom money has been disbursed under the scheme;

(d) the details of the farmers benefited so far, district/ area-wise including Mahasamund, Dhamtari and Gariyaband districts;

(e) whether proper action has been taken in this regard; and

(f) if not, the reasons therefor?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (f) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 115 DUE FOR REPLY ON 27th JULY, 2021.

(a)& (b): Under the PM-KISAN Scheme, the responsibility of identifying the beneficiaries and uploading their correct and verified data on PM-KISAN portal lies with the respective State/UT Government. Further, the following additional steps have been taken by the Government to include more and more eligible farmers under the Scheme:

(i) The States are advised to organize awareness campaigns and registration camps to bring the eligible beneficiaries into the ambit of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme.
(ii) A special feature, namely, “farmers corner” is available in the PM-KISAN portal, through which the farmers can also do their self-registration.
(iii) Farmers can also edit their names in PM-Kisan database as per their Aadhaar database/ card through the Farmers Corner in the portal.
(iv) Farmers can also know the status of their payment through the Farmers Corner in the portal. Village-wise details of beneficiaries are also available on the Farmers Corner.
(v) Farmers can approach Village Level Entrepreneur (VLEs) of CSCs to get enrolled themselves under PM-KISAN Scheme. The facilities available at farmers corner can also be availed through VLEs of CSC.
(vi) Mobile app has been launched which also provides the facilities available at farmers corner on PM-KISAN portal.

(c): As far as the Lakhagarh village of Chhattisgarh is concerned, out of 45 registered farmers, 43 have been given the benefits under PM-KISAN Scheme.

(d) to (f): PM-KISAN is a continuous and ongoing Scheme and, as and when the correct and verified data of farmers families is received on PM-KISAN portal and its subsequent validation through Aadhar/PFMS/Income Tax database, the benefits of the Scheme are transferred directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The district-wise details of farmers benefited in the State of Chhattisgarh including Mahsamund, Dhamtari and Gariyaband districts are enclosed at Annexure-I.
