(a) whether the Government has received any proposal from the State Governments particularly
Gujarat for controlling the cattle diseases;
(b) if so, the details thereof during the last three years and the current financial year; and
(c) the decision taken by the Government on these proposals?

IN THE MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION (SHRI TASLIMUDDIN) :
(a) to (c) Government has not received any specific proposal from the State of Gujarat for
controlling the cattle diseases. However, proposals for release of funds under the on-going
Centrally Sponsored Schemes namely
(i) Assistance to States for Control of Animal Diseases (ASCAD),
(ii) Foot and Mouth Disease Control Programme (FMD-CP) and
(iii) National Project on Rinderpest Eradication (NPRE) have been received. The details of the
funds released and revalidated for Gujarat during the last three years and the current financial
year is given in the enclosed statement.
