(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. The Coconut Development Board (CDB) has implemented
Coconut Palms Insurance Scheme for coconut farmers through Agricultural Insurance
Company of India Ltd. (AIC). At present, the scheme is being operated in the States of
Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Goa and West
Bengal. Details are given in the Annexure.
(c): Premium for palm insurance is contributed by Central Government, State
Governments and farmers in the ratio of 50:25:25.
