(a) whether the Government propose to set up more digital trunk automatic exchanges in Rajasthan;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the number of such exchanges functioning in Rajasthan, location-wise; and
(d) the extent to which subscribers of Rajasthan are likely to be benefited ?

(a) & (b): No, Sir. However, there is a plan during 2001-2002 to expand the existing Trunk Automatic Exchanges wherever justified as per traffic considerations.
(c) Details are given in Annexure.
(d) The expansion of existing Trunk Automatic Exchanges of Rajasthan will help in improving the efficiency of STD/ISD calls further.
