Question : Meetings of MPs with Concerned GMs

(a) whether the Government has taken note of the fact that the advisory Committee meetings being held with concerned railway GMs and Members of Parliament has displayed dissatisfaction among MPs as none of the advices have been taken into consideration, while taking up railway projects in their respective States;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and

(c) the steps being taken by the Government to achieve fruitful results of such meetings in future?

(a) to (c): The suggestions given by Hon’ble Members of Parliament (MPs) during the meetings of Divisional Committee held with Zonal Railways are duly noted and considered while planning/executing projects which are subject to feasibility, need and availability of funds.
