(a) whether the Government is aware that the construction work on Koderma-Ranchi Railway line in Jharkhand has been stopped for the last six months due to lack of funds;
(b) if so, whether this railway line connects Hazaribagh which is the Headquarter of Northern Chhota Nagpur division; and
(c) if so, the time by which the Government is likely to provide the funds to complete the construction work of the said railway line as early as possible ?

(a) The work of construction of Koderma-Ranchi new line is in progress. The project is being executed on a cost sharing basis with the State Govt. of Jharkhand who are bearing 2/3rd cost of the project..
(b) The line will connect Koderma and Hazaribagh with further extension to Ranchi via Barkakana.
(c) An outlay of Rs. 50 crore has been proposed for the work in Budget 2004-05. The matching share will have to be provided by the State Government of Jharkhand.
