(a) to (f): Yes, Madam.
The Product/Infrastructure Development for Destinations and Circuits (PIDDC) Scheme for States was delinked from Union Support w.e.f. 2015-16, pursuant to acceptance of the 14th Finance Commission’s recommendation for higher devolution of 42% to States from Union taxes and duties. Therefore, no funds have been released to the States under PIDDC w.e.f. 2015-16.
For integrated development of theme based tourist circuits in the country, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is presently implementing the Swadesh Darshan Scheme. Suitable project proposals relating to the identified thematic circuits in any States/UTs/Districts are eligible for grant of Central Financial Assistance (CFA) under the scheme, subject to the availability of funds, liquidation of pending utilization certificates against the funds released earlier and adherence to the relevant scheme guidelines.
No project proposal for Mega Circuit-Rewa, Circuit Development-Datiya, Circuit Development Shajapur, Agara has been received under the scheme.
A proposal for the establishment of a Food Craft Institute (FCI) at Ujjain was received from the State Government of Madhya Pradesh, but the same has not been approved, since one State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) is already operational in Indore.
