(a) whether the Government have provided adequate funds for the women’s participation in the society for the upliftment and development of the down-trodden during the current financial year;
(b) if so, the details with benefits given to NGOs run by the women’s organisations during the said period;
(c) the number of applications pending for approval, as on date; and
(d) the steps taken by the Government to clear all these pending applications?

(a) An amount of Rs.1339.81 crores have been allocated
during the current year by the Department of Women & Child
Development for the welfare and development of women.
(b) No financial assistance has been given to NGOs as yet
during the current year.
(c) As on date, 1550 proposals are pending at various
stages of examination in the Department.
(d) Regular meetings of the Project Sanctioning Committees
shall be held for speedy clearance of the pending proposals.
