(a) whether the Union Government has received any request for inclusion of
`Bishnoi` caste of Rajasthan in the central list of other backward classes;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Union Government thereto; and
(c) the time by which the request is likely to be acceded to?

(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) & (c) The inclusion of a caste/community in the Central List of OBCs is decided on
the advice of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC).The NCBC had
examined the requests for inclusion of`Bishnoi`caste of Rajasthan and had not advised for
their inclusion in the Central List of OBCs for Rajasthan.
