(a) whether the Government considers to cover all the Urban Local Bodies under National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM), if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government plans to revise the NULM guidelines to provide one Community Organiser for 2000 BPL households, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;

(c) whether several projects have been sanctioned in Uttar Pradesh and if so, the details thereof district-wise; and

(d) the details of on-going and pending projects?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING & URBAN POVERTY ALLEVIATION (SHRI BABUL SUPRIYO)

(a): The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has moved a proposal to enhance the scope of National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) to include all statutory towns in the Mission. The proposal is at appraisal stage.

(b): No Madam. Present norm of one Community Organiser for 3000 urban poor families is adequate.

(c)&(d): Under NULM, the Ministry makes financial allocation to the States based on the urban population in the State. Urban Local Body-wise fund allocation is done by the States. Funds are released on the basis of Utilization Certificates submitted by the States. Sanction of specific project is not done by the Ministry.
