(a) whether the Government have received applications from the State Governments for setting up of new projects for the welfare of mentally handicapped during the last three years;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;
(c) the number of projects cleared so far, State-wise;
(d) the financial assistance provided to each State for the purpose during the above period; and
(e) the time by which remaining applications are likely to be cleared?

(a) Yes Sir. Applications of Voluntary Organisations are forwarded/recommended by the State Governments for setting up new projects for welfare of the mentally handicapped.
(b), (c) and (d) A statement is annexed.
(e) The remaining proposals, being incomplete for want of documents, clarifications and compliance of extant instructions and guidelines, etc, will be processed when the complete information and documents are received.
