(a): Sir, the details of the budgetary allocation and utilization to implement Phase II of FAME–India Scheme is as under:

(b): Sir, under FAME-India Scheme, incentives are provided to buyers of electric vehicles in the form of an upfront reduction in the purchase price of electric vehicles. The incentive is linked to battery capacity i.e. Rs. 10,000/KWh for e-3W and e-4W with a cap 20% of the cost of vehicle. Further, the incentive/ subsidies for e-2W has been increased to Rs. 15,000/KWh from Rs. 10,000/KWh with an increase in cap from 20% to 40% of the cost of vehicle w.e.f. 11th June, 2021. Under Phase-II of FAME India Scheme, about 2.96 lakhs electric vehicles have been supported till 25.03.2022 by way of demand incentives amounting to about Rs. 1100.00 Cr.
(c) &(d): Sir, Phase II of Fame India scheme was approved initially for a period of 03 years w.e.f. 1st April, 2019, which was extended further for a period of 02 years, i.e. upto 31.03.2024.
At present, there is no proposal, under the consideration of Ministry of Heavy Industries, to further extend the subsidy under the scheme.
