(a) The details of the Voluntary Retirement Schemes offered by the National
Dairy Development Board (NDDB) so far and the expenses incurred in each
schemes;
(b) The number of employees who opted the said schemes so far; and
(c) The total strength of employees in NDDB at present ?

(a): The Voluntary Retirement Schemes (VRS) were offered by the NDDB in 1988,
1996, 2001 and 2002 and the expenses incurred were Rs.5.57 crore, Rs.6.95 crore,
Rs.4.42 crore and Rs.3.59 crore respectively. While the schemes in 1988 and 1996
were extended to all the employees, the scheme in 2001 was only for staff (non -
officers) and the scheme in 2002 was only for officers.
(b) : A total of 747 employees of the NDDB had opted for VRS.
(c) : The present strength of regular employees in NDDB is 713.
