(d)&(e): The Government of India constituted a Task Force under the Chairmanship
of Shri Jagdish Capoor, the then Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India to study the
functioning of the Cooperative Credit System and to suggest measures for its
strengthening/restructuring. The Task Force has submitted its report to the Ministry of
Finance and a Joint Committee under the Chairmanship of Minister of State for Finance
(Expenditure, Banking & Insurance) has been constituted to suggest the modalities for its
implementation.
