(a) the annual production of wool in India during the last three years;
(b) the fund released under Sheep and Wool Improvement Programme in the country including Uttar Pradesh during the last three years; and
(c) the number of beneficiaries in the country including Uttar Pradesh under projects sanctioned during the Eleventh Five Year Plan?

(a): Annual production of wool during the last three year i.e. 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 are 43.10 Mn kg., 43.00 Mn.kg and 44.40 (anticipated) Mn.kg. respectively.
(b): Total fund released under SWIS scheme during last three years are Rs. 799.58 lakh, Rs.1063.00 lakhs and Rs.751.65 laksh respectively.
(c): Under “Sheep & Wool Improvement Scheme†(SWIS), this Ministry has benefited total 36.75 lakh sheep during the Eleventh Five Year Plan. Under this scheme no fund was released to Uttar Pradesh State as no suitable proposal was received.
