Question : ALPHA CYPER MITHRING

(a) whether the Government propose to give permission to the use of Alpha Cyper Mithring developed by a multi-national company in the end of the year 1998, for the eradication of malaria;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government propose to give permission to use other similar quality products which are comparatively cheaper; and

(d) the details in this regard?

(a) to (d) : Under the National Anti Malaria Programme (NAMP) only those insecticides which are registered with the Central Insecticide Board (CIB), are permitted to be used. The insecticide Alpha Cyper Methrin 5% wdp was registered with the Central Insecticide Board in the year 2000.
