Question : EXPORT OF ETHANOL

(a) whether the Government has banned export of ethanol;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the Government proposes to lift the ban on export of ethanol for protecting the interests of farmers of the country; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): As per information provided by Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), presently there is no restriction on export of ethanol.

(b) to (d): Does not arise.
