(a) whether the Government proposes to set up small food processing industries in rural areas of the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof particularly in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra;
(c) whether any benefits of Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure under
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) has been availed in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra during the last three years till date and if so, the details thereof, year-wise; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefore?

(a): Government promote setting up of food processing industries/ units/projects by financial assistance in the form of Grant-in-Aid to applicants/promoters under various schemes.
(b): The details of projects approved/ assisted under the component scheme of Creation / Expansion of Food Processing & Preservation Capacities under Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) in the state of Uttar Pradesh & Maharashtra is at Annexure-I.
(c) & (d): The details of projects approved under the scheme of Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure in the state of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra during last three years is at Annexure-II.
