(a) whether the Government have launched Annapurna Scheme during 2000;

(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) A Statement showing the funds allocated, released and that remained unspent under the Annapurna Scheme for the year 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 is enclosed.
(c) to (e) No complaints regarding misutilisation of funds under the Scheme have been received by the Government. The Annapurna Scheme has, however, been transferred to the State Plan with effect from the financial year, 2002-2003.
