Question : Angioplasty in AIIMS

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has the requisite infrastructure to carry out the surgical procedure of Angioplasty;

(b) if so, the details thereof indicating the number of such procedures conducted in the said institution during each of the last three years and the current year; and

(c) the number and types of Stents, their prices along with the names of their manufacturers used in the aforementioned procedure during the said period?

(a) & (b): All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has requisite infrastructure for carrying out the surgical procedure of Angioplasty. The detail of number of Angioplasty carried out during the last three years and the current year are as under:
