(a) whether the Union Government has received any request from the Industry sector to substantially reduce the GST for 6 months to boost demand in the aftermath of the COVID pandemic across the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the action being taken or proposed to be taken by the Government on this request?

(a) and (b): Requests to reduce GST rate in the aftermath of COVID has been received from Industry and Industry associations like CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM etc.
(c): GST rates are prescribed on the basis of recommendations of the GST Council as made from time to time. At present, GST Council has not made any recommendation in this regard.
