Question : CGHS WELLNESS CENTRES

(a) whether the Government has started a pilot project wherein senior citizens are allowed free consultation from Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) wellness centres in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof indicating the name of wellness centres where such facility is presently available, State/UT-wise;

(c) whether the Government proposes to provide this facility/service in all the CGHS wellness centres across the country; and

(d) if so, the details thereof along with the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRI JAGAT FRAKASH NADDA)

(a) & (b): The Government has extended free OPD consultation facilities to senior citizens (60 years and above) from general public from 1.30 P.M. to 3.00 P.M. at the following 26 Wellness Centres of CGHS including 6 Wellness Centres under AYUSH in Delhi on pilot basis with effect from 1st September, 2014.
