Question : Assistance to MSMEs

(a) the total number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs)/units in the country upto 2013 and increase of such units between 2014 to 2018;

(b) whether the Government has financed such units under various schemes and if so, the details thereof, State/Bank-wise;

(c) whether the Government has taken the guarantee of such units financed by the Banks or other institutions; and

(d) if so, the details thereof along with the amount that has been given to banks/financial institutions as guarantee during 2015 to 2018 ?

(a): 17,85,601 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) had filed Entrepreneur Memorandum Part-II (EM-II) during the period 2007-08 to 2013-14 and after enactment of Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum, 58,40,377 MSMEs have been registered on Udyog Aadhaar (UA) Portal since (September, 2015) till 31st December, 2018.

(b)to(d): The Government has financed such eligible units who have applied for technology upgrdation, market development, infrastructure development and skill development as per the guidelines of the relevant schemes of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The Government has also provided guarantee under Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) to various eligible units financed by the banks and financial institutions. The data on number of such units and the amount involved during 2015 to (November 2018) is at Annexure-I.
