(a) the number of proposals regarding setting up of day care centre and old age homes proposed to be sanctioned during the year 2002-2003;
(b) whether any amendments are proposed to be made in the procedure of sanctioning these homes;
(c) if so , the time by which it is proposed to be made; and
(d) the total amount proposed to be allocated under these schemes to NGOs during the current year?

(a) No specific target of new proposals to be sanctioned during the year 2002-03 has been fixed. The number of new proposals to be sanctioned would depend on various factors such as committed liabilities for ongoing cases, availability of funds and the new proposals being complete in all respects and in accordance with the scheme etc.

(d) The total fund allocated for the year 2002-03 is Rs. 18.27 crores under he Integrated Programme for Older Persons.
