Question : Allocation of Funds for Agro Processing Clusters

(a) whether the Government has allocated funds to the States of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra under the Scheme for Infrastructure for Agro Processing Clusters for the year 2021-22 and if so, the details thereof

(b) the details of the total number of agro-processing clusters operationalized during the year 2021-22 under the Scheme for Infrastructure for Agro Processing Clusters; and

(c) the details of the number of food processing units operationalized in Agro Processing clusters during the year 2021-22, State-wise?

(a): The Scheme for Creation of Infrastructure for Agro Processing Clusters (APC) scheme is not state specific, therefore, state wise funds are not allocated under the scheme. However, during the year 2021-22, this Ministry has approved grants-in-aid of Rs. 23.584 Cr. for 3 projects in States of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra under APC scheme as per below details:

(c): the details of the 7 food processing units operationalized in Agro Processing clusters during the year 2021-22 are at Annexure-II.
