(a) The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), has been incorporated as a Government of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs on 10th April, 2001. The State-wise details of post incorporation sanctions during the last two years and for the current year till June, 2003 are given in the Annexure.
(b) Post incorporation, various States/UTs Channelising Agencies have cumulatively availed funds amounting to Rs. 72.39 crores till 30th June, 2003.
(c) & (d) No serious irregularities have been reported to NSTFDC in the implementation of the programmes for the welfare of Scheduled Tribes particularly in Maharashtra.
