(a) whether the Government is aware that some labour contractors have been given
contract right from beginning to till date at `Jubilee retail outlets` run by IOC
and HPCL in Madhya Pradesh; and
(b) if so, the total months of contract period completed by the said contractors?

(a) and (b): The Indian Oil Corporation limited (IOC) Hindustan Petroleum Corporation
limited (HPC) appoint labour contractors for their Jubilee Retail Outlets in the country,
including Madhya Pradesh for a fixed period which is renewable for a further period. After
the extended period, the same labour contractor can becconsidered along with others for
fresh appointment.
