(a) the assistance provided to States by the Khadi Village and Industries Commission, State-wise, during the last three years;
(b) the number of persons benefitted by loans in 1998-99, 1999-2000 and till date along with the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): The assistance provided by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) State-wise is given at Annexure-A.
(b): 58.29 lakh persons were benefitted during 1998-99 and about 60.89 lakh persons are estimated to be benefitted during 1999-2000. For the current financial year, the KVIC has fixed a target of generating an additional employment of 3.50 lakh persons.
