Question : Policy on Cleanliness

(a) Whether there is any policy on cleanliness of shaft area, stair-case and adjacent corridors including common areas of CPWD quarters/buildings located in Delhi particularly in NDMC area;

(b) Whether the Government is aware of the facts that there is no arrangement by CPWD for cleanliness of the said area of CPWD quarters/buildings located in NDMC area particularly at BKS Marg Phase-I and if so, the details thereof along with the reasons therefor;

(c) Whether the Government proposes to make a policy for cleanliness drive on daily basis after consultation with other stake-holders including NDMC keeping in view Prime Minister’s popular scheme Swachh Bharat Mission; and

(d) If so, the details thereof along with the time by which the said policy is likely to be implemented and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) Yes sir.

(b) & (c) Cleaning of shaft area, stair case and adjacent corridors including common areas of General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) quarters/buildings maintained by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) located in Delhi including Baba Kharak Singh (BKS) Marg Phase – I is done by CPWD.

(d) Does not arise in view of reply to Part (a) to (c) above.
