A scheme for rehabilitation of people of Nangal Dewat Village was worked out in an area of 63 acres of land in 1987 at Rangpuri as against the total land area of 59 acres of Nangal Dewat Village and Airports Authority of India (AAI) has spent Rs. 8.11 crores for its development purposes. In 1988, plots of various sizes ranging from a minimum of 26 sqm to a maximum of 330 sqm were carved out for resettlement and 963 dwelling units were required for rehabilitation as per joint survey by Delhi Development Authority and AAI. It has not been possible to implement the scheme so far, because the villages have raised further demands.
