Question : SCHEMES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF OCEAN

(a) the details of various schemes aimed at the developmental activities of ocean connected to various States having vast coastal areas in the country;

(b) the funds allocated to these States during each of the last three years for the purpose;

(c) whether any criteria is fixed for allotting funds to States in this regard; and

(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) & (b) The Department of Ocean Development is a S&T Department promoting R&D in Ocean Science & Technology. This Department has no specific development scheme to directly extend financial assistance to any coastal State.
