Question : Funds Spent on Conservation of Monuments in Andhra Pradesh

(a) the details of works undertaken till date under Adarsh Smarak initiative in the list of monuments in Andhra Pradesh (AP) identified as Adarsh Smarak;

(b) the list of centrally protected monuments in Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh and the details of works undertaken, funds spent, for conservation, protection, preservation, repair of centrally protected
monuments in Srikakulam during the last ten years;

(c) the list of works, activities to be undertaken for centrally protected monuments in Srikakulam as per the annual conservation programme drawn on the basis of need and priority, monument wise details;

(d) the names and designations of officials directly responsible for the conservation, preservation, development, repair of Centrally protected monuments in Srikakulam district; and

(e) the details of funds allocation and utilisation for each district of Andhra Pradesh during the last two years, district-wise along with the list of features of Central Schemes for Library Development, improvement
and promotion?

(a) There are three Centrally protected monuments initiated in Andhra Pradesh under Adarsh Smarak programme. These are Sree Veerabhadra Temple, Lepakshi, Anantapuram District, Buddhist Remains at Salihundam, Srikakulam District and reconstructed monuments at Nagarjunakonda, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh.

(b) Details are given in Annexure-I

(c) As per Annual conservation programme for the current financial year 2021-22, the works identified for the centrally protected monuments in Srikakulam district are given in Annexure-II.
(d) The Centrally protected monuments in Srikakulam district are maintained by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), by the respective Superintending Archaeologist for the conservation, preservation, development, repair of Centrally protected monuments in Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh.

SRP to Water tightening to the Buddhist stupa and other remains at Salihundam, Srikakulam Dist, A.P Water tightening to the Brick structures by removing the dead lime mortar and relaying brick work with fresh lime mortar.
