(a) : 64 number of applications are pending in the Ministry for release
of grant-in-aid under various welfare schemes for Backward Classes,
Scheduled Castes and Persons with Disability.
(b) : The total grants released under the various schemes for Backward
Classes, Scheduled Castes and Persons with Disability in the State of
Karnataka during the last three years is as under:

(c) to (f) : Clearance of proposals is an on-going process and is subject
to completeness of the proposals, their conformity to the norms of the
Scheme and general financial rules and availability of funds. Delay also
occurs due to time taken in rectifying deficiencies and completing procedural
requirements. The pending cases are reviewed periodically at various levels
and State Governments are requested to rectify the deficiencies in their
proposals.
