(a) the details of NH by-passes taken up by the Government for construction/ development in Kerala during the financial year 2014-15;
(b) the current status of NH by pass at Kollam along with the proposed date of completion of NH by-pass at Kollam;
(c) the total estimated cost to be incurred on NH by-pass at Kollam along with the schedule laid down for its development; and
(d) the action taken by the Government for development of NH by-pass at Kollam?

(a) Ministry has sanctioned revised estimates based on tender for construction of 13 km Kollam bypass and 6.8 km Alappuzha bypass on NH-47 with an estimated cost of Rs. 352.05 crore and Rs. 348.43 crore respectively in January 2015 with 50:50 cost sharing basis between Government of India and Government of Kerala. The construction work on balance length of 5 km Calicut bypass is in progress and the work of Thiruvananthapuram bypass is in tender stage.
(b) to (d) The construction of 13 km Kollam bypass costing Rs 352.05 crore has been awarded on 24th January, 2015 with scheduled date of completion in September, 2017.
