Question : FDI Decline

(a) whether the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into India has declined in FY 2018- 19 as compared to previous years;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) if not, whether the Government has made any effort to collect data in this regard; and

(d) whether the Government has assessed the reasons for the same and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): No Sir, the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into India has in fact increased in FY 2018-19 as compared to previous years due to the efforts made by the Government. The year-wise FDI inflow data is as under:
