(a) & (b): A proposal for development of Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) “Ghatak” programme and development of gas turbine engine for “Ghatak” was submitted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) through Ministry of Finance before forwarding to Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). Based on the PMO’s instructions, the high power Committee under the chairmanship of Dr. R. Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor reviewed and recommended the programme. Therefore, the case is being submitted to PMO for approval.
