Answer given by the minister

MINISTER IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM & NATURAL GAS
(SHRI DHARMENDRA PRADHAN)
(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. ONGC has informed that, on the basis of exploration carried out in the acreages available to it, ONGC has established 230.29 MMT (2P) of Oil Initial-In-Place during the last three years. Estimation of reserves explored during a particular year is made at the end of the year. Oil type is defined by its API gravity i.e. Light or Heavy Crude Oil and such reserve estimation is done on the basis of total Oil and Condensate.
(c): ONGC is extracting oil from its 16 Assets. As on 01.04.2019, total oil available in these assets is 459.84 MMT (2P).
(d) & (e): ONGC has produced 21.111 MMT oil in the year 2018-19, and 65.665 MMT oil in the last three years.
