Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI MANOJ SINHA)

(a) & (b): Proposals for construction of Road Over Bridge/ Road Under Bridge (ROB/RUB) in lieu of Level Crossings (LCs) are normally received by zonal railways from State Government and other Statutory Authorities. After completing various formalities with State Government/ Statutory Authorities, regarding the consent for sharing of cost and closure of LCs, proposals received for construction of ROBs/RUBs in lieu of LCs are further processed for their inclusion in Railway Works Programme. This is a continuous process.

At present, works of construction of 16 ROBs in lieu of LCs at various locations in Allahabad area have already been sanctioned by Railways. At present, there is no pending proposal.
