Question : Designated Food Parks

(a) whether the Union Government has considered the Government of Odisha’s request to designate the Agro Industrial Estate for Maize in Nabarangpur, the Jagatpur Food Park in Cuttack and the Mancheshwar Food Park in Bhubaneshwar as designated food parks for the purpose of availing credit from the NABARD;

(b) if so, the details and the status thereof; and

(c) the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): Yes, Madam.

(b) to (c): Ministry of Food Processing Industries has included Agro Industrial Estate for Maize in Nabarangpur, Jagatpur Food Park in Cuttack and Mancheshwar Food Park in Bhubaneshwar in the list of the Designated Food Parks for making available affordable credit from the Food Processing Fund 2015-16 established by the Reserve Bank of India in NABARD.
