(a) whether a working group of National Advisory Council (NAC) has stressed that slum dwellers should be resettled at the spot where they are currently living;
(b) if so, the present progress in rehabilitation of slum dwellers across the country, State-wise;
(c) whether the aim of the Government to make India slum free would be achieved within any specified period; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. The present progress in rehabilitation of slum dwellers under Ministry’s scheme across the country is annexed.
(c) & (d): Government has set the target for providing pucca houses to all by 2022 as announced in the President’s address to Joint Session of both the Houses of Parliament on 9th June 2014. The Mission for Housing for all by 2022 is under consideration.
