(a) whether the Government has approved the construction of National Highway (NH) from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Panvel to Butibori-Nagpur;
(b) if so, the time by which the construction of the said highway is likely to be started along with the cost estimated; and
(c) the time by which the construction work of the NH is likely to be completed?

(a) to (c) Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Panvel is connected to Butibori-Nagpur via National Highway-4 (Panvel-Pune), National Highway-9 (Pune-Sholapur), National Highway-361 (Sholapur-Butibori-Nagpur). 6/8 lanning of JNPT Port Conne- ctivity project is proposed to be implemented under EPC mode for which tender process has been initiated. The estimated cost is Rs.2955 cr. With regard to Pune-Solapur section of NH-9, Package-I from Km 40,000 to km 144.400 has been comp- leted and package-II from km 144.400 to km 249.000 is under implementation at a project cost of Rs.835 cr. Physical pro- gress of 90% has been achieved. Sholapur-Butibori-Nagpur section of NH-361 is under DPR Stage. It is too early to indicate the project cost.
